“Velvety,  groovy,  spicy,  voluptuous,  sexy,  addictive”    –    just  a   few  words  to

describe the work of  these talented musicians  whose  inspiration comes  from  the

likes of  Beatles,  James Brown,  Motown, Gwen Stefani, Miles Davies and a variety

of  great  musicians.  The band’s  style  has  a  commercial  appeal  yet  as  the  name

would suggest, distinctively enchanting. Similar to Hall & Oates, the duo’s portfolio

of original songs offer a fusion  of soul, pop, jazz, RnB with a touch of rock.

In the first few years,  through word-of-mouth,  the band  acquired a few contracts 

from  a   famous   café   chain  in   Australia  and   various   restaurants   in  Sydney,

numerous  gigs  in  public events  and  private functions.  Sweetmojo carries a lush

repertoire  of   hits  covering   the  latest  radio  airplay  and  classics  from  various

decades; when requested to play covers, music are rearranged to produce a unique

sound what radio personalities describe as “mojonized” sound.

In 2009, this Sydney-based  Filipino-Australian band stirred its musical direction

by promoting  their  original songs  -  raising  funds for  charities,  launched 2 EPs, 

a  debut  album  and toured overseas in the process.  And  so destiny was revealed! 

Returning  from a very successful tour, the pair was unstoppable  –  Oliver started 

writing  jingles,  the  team  was entered  into  the  list  of  famousfilipino.com,  they

continued  to get  local media attention and wow audience in various public events.
